2001 Ford Taurus Air Compressor?

My Taurus began making an occassional soft grinding noise, almost like a quiet diesel engine a few months ago. About a month ago, I turned on the car and the noise was the loudest it’s ever been. The noise seemed to change and get a little quieter and deeper when the A/C was turned on. I used the A/C everday all day because I live in Houston. I took the car in for an estimate and was told my idler pulley needed to be replaced as well as my air compressor. With recharding the A/C and labor, a total of 00 in repairs was the quote. The air conditioning and even the vent system is still working fine and gets cold within 30 seconds of the car being turned on. So I’m a bit reluctant about shelling out the cash. The sounds seems to be getting louder and every now and then a weird smell, like humid burning, comes from the car after driving. Should I get the repairs or am I getting ripped off? Does it sound like a brand new air compressor is what I need?

Can I use water to clean a PC?

I’m planning on using an air compressor to clean out my computer, and a damp Q-tip to clean the fans.

I’m aware to be careful about how much air pressure I use, and I know that 91% alcohol is recommended instead of water.

However, if I let the water completely dry before turning the computer back on, will the computer be fine?

I am interested in buying a Ridgid brand air compressor> Ridgid Model # OF45150; and a Hitachi brand roofing nailer> Hitachi Model # NV45AB2. The compressor seems to have more than enough power to do what I want (To power two nail guns at once) BUT, most nailers have a 3/8 inch air inlet. The Ridgid brand air compressor is fitted with 2 Universal Push Style Quick Couplers that accepts both ¼” industrial and automotive plugs. My question, might sound stupid but, can I change out the 1/4 couplers to 3/8 couplers that will fit the nail gun hoses? Will that effect the performance of the compressor? Or do they sell a 1/4 to 3/8 inch adapter that will work?? Or are the two units incompatible?? If you are knowledgable about this please help. THANKS

My air condition compressor stop working during the day and go back and work during evening.
3 certified technicians checked it out. It was not very low on refrigerant. the second technician added 1.7 pound of refrigerant. the 3rd technician it found the system is overcharge and release some of the refrigerant. They checked the capacitor and all wiring. The 3rd technician concluded that the compressor is bad. But that does not make since to me. It is working during the night.
is my system small?
Is it just overloaded?

he connected the dryer filler next to the electric handler, is it ok for that since I afraid he did it wrong which would cause problems down the road. And what is the general app.cost for that, the replace of the compressor and the dryer filler? Please advise, thanks
The compressor was not working at first, then he replaced it bec’ still under guarantee after that he said still not working, at last he replaced a new filler instead of as it was outside with the compressor he place inside with the electric handler, is it correct. Help

I know you have to buy the air compressor. How much does this usually run? And really, how long do they last before they screw up?

low side 75 and high side 140 Its the air compressor ?

How much would a pawn shop typically pay for a 300 psi air compressor, it says 12 volts dc/10A

the compressor has burnt out 3 times once every year after 09. ive also changed the dryer and expansion valve. ive had to recharge the freon but it is still blowing warm air. what could be the problem with the compressor burning out? and what could be the reason for the air blowing warm? it is cold at the vent but its not blowing enough to get to me. its never been like the first time i bought the car.

Central air conditioner compressor (which is only a few years old) trips circuit only on very hot (90-100 degrees) days.
System is on a timer to "cool" house weekdays 8:00AM-6:00 PM to 80 degrees, then, back down to 74 degrees in the evenings.
Circuit always trips when we are not home at some point during afternoon, when it’s supposed to be keeping 80 degrees.
A/C technician has confirmed entire system, compressor are all ok……. electrician claims he can replace the circuit breaker, but, that may very likely not be the problem since this is the same circuit we have had for 20+ years, and for which my prior 19 year old AC compressor never tripped. Problem only started happening this season on the 95-100 degree days in the middle of the day (when we are not home), so we walk into 90+ degree house at night.
