I am trying to find the air ride compressor in my 97 ford explorer limited I think its somewhere behind the driver side tire I can here it run when i turn on the key. I just cant seem to find it, and also it only runs for about 30 secs and quits which i think is normal but when i turn the key off it kind of sounds like a deflating baloon and my check air ride system light comes on after driving for an hour or so. It has justed started doing this. When i first start it and press check system button it says the air ride is fine. It sounds like a leak comming from the compressor but Im not sure.Any input would be very helpful. Thanks

I want to be able to rotate my tires in my garage at home. There are plenty of air compressors available, but I am not sure what size compressor I should buy? Is 100 PSI enough to remove the lug nuts or should I go for more PSI?

The problem is, when the ac is turned on it makes a loud squealing noise. The ac compressor was changed out not too long ago.
Does the ac compressor have its own separate drive belt? Could it just be loose?
The car belongs to my daughter and she lives about 150 miles away from me, and I and looking for any suggestions and advise before I drive down to take a look at it.
Also if it is a locked up compressor, what do you think about a compressor kit from parts store(compressor,air dryer,oil,ect). Do places like AutoZone loan out vacuum pumps too?

What needs to be replaced when changing out compressor on vehicle? Want to get a better idea on what I am being charged for when taking vehicle to mechanic shop.. I understand compressor will need to be changed which comes with clutch attached to it.. I understand orifice plate will need to be changed also and dryer. What other parts are there to a air conditioner cooling system on a vehicle?
