1960s Jacuzzi Air Compressor
Another freebie; this compressor needs some work, but before I spend any money fixing it, I figured I should test the motor and compressor pump. I didn’t want to spend money on a belt, so I made my own; the pulleys will need to be replaced (due to severe damage), and some fittings will need to be replaced (and the Norgren regulator and pressure gauge are also in need of replacement).

love that sound
what would you use it for? nice video, thanks!
It’s an air compressor; built to operate pneumatic tools (impact guns, angle grinders, paint sprayers), and also for cleaning (with an air nozzle).
where did you get it
Hey, you got my old compressor!!
JK but I had one just like it.
I always thought it was cool how they used a clear crankcase cover on the compressor.
does it have oil in the crankcase? sounded like it was low in your vid. it almost sounded like a knock. even if it has a knock im sure for occasional use it would be fine! i just got 2 antique ones for christmas one looks like an antique engine.
I’ve decided not to restore it, the tank is in rough shape, and I don’t want to put any money into it. It’s yours (pieces or the whole thing) for shipping costs…
well get your self one of those portable air tanks and a good working relife valve and you could always belt the compressor to your international engine to give it something to do. thanks for the offer but i have a jacuzzi brothers compressor my neighbor gave it to me years ago. it works when i belt it to a motor or engine.
I’ll take just the compressor and I’ll give you five bucks on top of the shipping.
it sounds like a reqular compressor to me.
